DIRTRAIN (pronounced D.I.R. Train) is an unmoderated discussion list that allows staff in Texas government to collaborate and share training information. It is intended for staff that develop, manage, coordinate, and/or deliver training. DIR's area of focus is primarily IT education, but the list can be used to exchange information about any training/education issue of interest to government.
Subscribers may use the list to:
seek advice and referrals from other government staff regarding training issues
post training opportunities or needs
discuss issues involving training, education, e-learning
request referrals or opinions about products and services
share resources and expertise
post notices of meetings and events
The list is hosted by the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) and is open to personnel from Texas State agencies, public universities, and other government organizations. The focus of this list is Texas State government, but any government employee may join.
There is no fee for subscribing. Participation is completely voluntary, and the value of DIRTRAIN is entirely dependent upon the interaction of its members. It is a fast, easy way to network with others in Texas government who are interested in any aspect of training and education issues.
Note - due to space constraints and virus considerations, attachments are not accepted.
