The DIR Policy Announcement list is designed to keep interested parties updated on the latest DIR policy initiatives.
The goal of the DIR Policy Announcements is to make Texas IT policy development and implementation easily accessible to state agencies, institutions of higher education, Legislators and the public. This list will announce the release of research and reports that are posted for review on the DIR website, provide updates on DIR rules, guidelines, and best practices, and inform participants about initiatives that affect IT policy in the State of Texas.
Before subscribing to the list, non-government employees need to read and agree with the following:
By subscribing to the dir-policy list, "I agree that my use of this list will disclose my e-mail address to other list members. I understand and agree that the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR) cannot control the possible disclosure or sale of my e-mail address by list members other than those employed by DIR. In acknowledging the foregoing, I do not give DIR permission to sell my e-mail address, nor do I give DIR permission to disclose my e-mail address except as set forth above."
